Viola Cordova Obituary
Viola L. Martinez Cordova was called to join Our Heavenly Father on March 26, 2024. She was born on December 27, 1943 to Cleofas Martinez of Mora, NM. She was raised by Fidel and Ninfa Valdez of Las Aguitas, NM. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Friend, and Teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Bernardino Valdez, Cassimiro Valdez, Fidel Valdez, and sister Irene Tafoya.
She is survived by her children: Stephanie Trujillo (Salomon), Arthur Martinez, and Gail Garcia, as well as eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her Aunt Terry Romero (Flavio), her brothers Eloy Valdez (Helen), Tony Pino (Deborah), sister Mel Pino, and several nephews and nieces.
Despite health issues, Viola found joy and comfort from the love and care of her dedicated caregivers: Grandson Sammy Garcia, Beatriz Ornelas, and Patricia Nieto whom she considered family.
Memorial Services to be held at St Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM on Monday, April 15, 2024. Rosary is at 9:30 am Mass at 10:15 am.
