Adam J Tapia of Rio Rancho, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the age of 29. He was born on June 2, 1994, to Michelle Archuleta in Portales, NM. He grew up in Rio Rancho and made many friends through the years; laughing, working on his car, hanging out in the garage, and just making memories. They became his brothers, and he became theirs. He completely adored his older brother, Estevan. They got into mischief, as brothers often do. They did everything together. Their bond will never be broken, even in death.
He met the love of his life here as well, Meaghan, and together, their love brought his beautiful, princess Layla. She was the light of his life and he always smiled proudly when he held her; he wore that title well. He was so gentle and loving to her and she felt it. She followed him everywhere and wanted nothing to do with anyone else but her daddy when he was around. She will be reminded often of how much he loved her.
He was a mama's boy and always will be. People would say how much he looked like his mom, mom was proud, but he was not because he thought he looked like a girl. He made her proud with character. He would do anything for anyone at any time. He was a kind, gentle, and funny person with his cheesy, terrible jokes.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mom, Michelle, his little ray of sunshine, Layla, brother Estevan, sister-in-law Sonia, his nephew Noah, and niece Naomi, and Meaghan. His maternal grandmother, Mary Lou, his paternal grandmother, Pia, his father, Robert, sisters, Tatiana, Makayla, and Ahnika. His several aunts, uncles, cousins, and his many friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Crescencio, paternal grandfather, Charlie, Uncle Don, cousin Cassie, and Uncle Carlos.
