1957-2024

Albert Garcia, age 67, a beloved member of the Albuquerque community, passed away in his home on Sunday, December 29, 2024. He was born on July 3, 1957 and spent his life as a proud resident of Albuquerque's South Valley. Albert's passing has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew him.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Abel and Elfides Felix Garcia; his late brothers, Gilbert and Toby Garcia; his late sisters, Sylvia (Joe Martinez), Mary and husband, Paul Gutierrez, Esther and husband, Ed Winger, and Louisa Garcia.

Albert is survived by his five sons; Zack Garcia, Dominic Albert Garcia, and fiancé Ashley, Mario Gilber Garcia, and fiancé Ruby, and Albert Jr. Gomez, and wife Holly and Ajdrian Gomez; five grandchildren, Dominic Felipe Garcia (Star), Deztini Garcia, Xoey Garcia, Izzy Garcia, and Salem Gomez; and one great grandchild, Alexzandra Garcia. He comes from a big family with lots of uncles, and aunts as well as a number of nephews and nieces.

Albert worked many years as a security officer at UNM Hospital, he dedicated himself to his job and professional endeavors. Albert had an exceptional gift of making friends with whomever he met, his warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew him and will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. Albert loved the great outdoors like fishing, camping and spending time around a camp fire with family and friends. Albert leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, a big heart, and laughter that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Services will be held at San Jose Parish, on January 15, 2025. A public viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m., and a funeral mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow.

Pallbearers are Dominic A. Garcia, Mario G. Garcia, Albert Jr. Gomez, Dominic F. Garcia, Alejandro Venegas, and Joseph McBroom. Honorary pallbearer will be Richard Garcia
