Carol A. Maes

Our beloved Carol Alexis Maes born on April 20, 1990 passed away suddenly on Monday, September 13, 2021. Carol was a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt and friend. She graduated from Albuquerque High School and earned her Master's in Social Work from NMHU. She loved helping everyone, making people laugh, singing, acting, dancing, make-up, music and falling asleep to crime podcasts. But her greatest accomplishment was her beautiful daughter Kairi. She loved Kairi with all her being, she was her world. 
As a child, Carol was a cheerleader and drama queen, she loved being the center of attention, which lasted into adulthood. She really loved being The Big Sister to her siblings Jonathan, Moriah, Hannah and Joshua and stepsister to Andrew, Brittanie, Brian and Ashlie. As an adult she loved her job and had great pride in helping others in there journey through healing. Her world revolved around her daughter. Every year she enjoyed planning and making matching homemade cosutmes for her and Kairi. 
She was preceeded in death by her grandfather Phil, great grandfather Juan, great grandmother Emelia, grandfather Charles, grandmother Gracie, Uncle Jody and stepfather Patrick.
She is survived by her daughter Kairi, mother Debbie, father Phil and stepmother Jessica, grandmother Mary, her siblings Jonathan, Moriah, Hannah and Joshua, nephews Noah and Zachary, nieces Ariyah and Wednesdai, Godchildren Josia and India and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will be greatly missed.
