Donald J. Heckler Jr. 81 passed away on October 14, 2025Native New Mexican, grandparents of the Bellers homesteaded in Bueyers, New Mexico in early 1900.
Graduated from Manzano High School in 1962. Employed with Western in 1966 retired from Lucent Technology as a Supervisor, in 2002 with 36 years of service. President of Communication workers of America. CWA
He loved fishing, hunting, bowling, and skeet shooting, winning many awards. Pheasant hunting in Kansas with family.He always had a rod & reel and shotgun in his truck, for just in case.
Preceded by wife Elaine Green, brother Patrick A. Heckler, parents, Donald J. Heckler Sr, Mary Ann Beller Heckler.
Survived by sons, Donald J. Heckler III, Christoper D. Heckler, grandchildren Cierra Heckler of, Jacksonville, Florida, Samuel C. Heckler of Gallup New Mexico. Mother of his children Mary Ann Magill. Stepchildren Rory White and Kim White.
Survived by cousins in New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Kansas, Florida, Texas.
