Donald (Don) William Tipping, of Albuquerque, NM passed away peacefully Saturday morning, August 7, 2021 at the age of 77. Don was proceeded in death by his parents Horace Tipping and Mabel (Schultz) Tipping and his close friend Mary Ann Kirchgessner. He is survived by his son Michael and Leslie Tipping and 2 grandchildren of Chandler Arizona, Brothers Robert (Bob) of New Jersey, and Richard (Dick) of Alabama, and ex wife Linda Tipping of Albuquerque, NM. He also leaves behind many friends, acquaintances and fellow employees that worked with him during his 30+ years at Sandia. He will also be missed at the local health spa that he visited daily. After attending Philco Technical Institute in 1966, he was employed at Bell Labs in Murray Hill, NJ. He eventually transferred to Sandia National Labs in 1969. Don's tenure at both Bell Labs and Sandia Labs was in the field of electronics, field testing in Nevada, and the Kauai Pacific range. Don excelled in building and working with computers, he also had a passion in photography, collecting vintage movies, 50's and 60's music and loved his TV remote control.
Memorial services for Don are on August 12, 2021 at 1pm (visitation) and 2pm (services).
