Lisa D. Perea (1966-2024) age 57 from Tijeras, NM was granted eternal rest on Monday July 1st with her family by her side wrapping her in comfort and love. Lisa was a kind hearted woman who tried to get through the covid lockdown on only pickles and cans of whipped cream. She leaves behind wonderful memories giving her family a bit of laughter to mix with their tears. Those that knew her will have at lest one story to tell about her eccentric yet adorable behavior. She lived her life happily in the mountains where she taught her children the importance of love over material wealth. She worked with children and the disabled always helping where she could. Her green thumb kept their porch full of flowers in the spring. Many pets owed their very long lives to the love she had for animals. She had a hidden talent for story telling to help her stubborn children get to sleep.
Lisa met her soulmate Pat and Husband of 40 years while teenagers in Silver City NM. Then and there her life became amazing as they built a life full of love, laughter and so many wonderful memories and adventures together. Her adventurous spirit led them all over the world as she loved to travel, loved cruising, the Caribbean, the ocean, the beach, and anywhere she could stick her toes in the sand. Give her a beach chair and a Coors Light and she was happy, she was always looking forward to and planning their next excursion. She made friends anywhere she went and the room was never quiet if Lisa was around, she had the room laughing in a matter of seconds! Her hilarious sense of humor made every family gathering memorable. She never left home without a book in her hand, and her sack full of odds and ends.
Lisa adored her grandchildren (AJ, Thiago, Julian & Alyson). She enjoyed every sleep over, showing them the mountain life, playing games, making messes in the living room, walking in the forest or just hanging out. She treasured her time with her grandkids and loved being their "Ammah".
Lisa was much loved and remembered well by all who knew her. We couldn't have asked for a better Mom, Wife, Daughter or Friend. Her Memory will continue to inspire those she leaves behind including her Husband Pat whom provided her unconditional love, support and care. His dedication to Lisa never waivered and their love for each other shined. Her Son Christopher Perea, Her Daughter Alyssa Sanchez and Son-In Law Jason, Her Parents Bonnie & Ed Hess, all her In-laws of the Perea clan, and numerous loved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom all shared a special place in Lisa's heart.
We will love you forever and keep your amazing spirit in our hearts until we meet again.
