Mitchell Loren Adamson

Mitchell Loren Adamson, of St George, UT, passed away suddenly on March 5, 2020 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at age 59. 

Mitch was born in Mountain Home, Idaho on May 8, 1960 to Cecil L Adamson and Marilynn Weidenmeyer Adamson.  Born the second of four children to an Air Force family, Mitch moved frequently as a child, including four years in Japan.  After graduating high school in Rantoul, Illinois as a National Merit Scholar, he returned to Japan to serve his LDS mission.  In 1981, Mitch married and soon had a daughter, April (Jason) Zuffranieri, to whom he imparted a love of all living things.  After serving honorably in the U.S. Army Reserve, Mitch graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and worked as a medical technologist for many years.  Mitch was devoted to a number of hobbies including advanced rocketry, exotic animal/plant husbandry, and photography. 

Mitch is survived by his daughter in Albuquerque, NM and sisters Valerie (Thomas) Alley of Broomfield, CO and Andrea (Miles) Wallace of Olympia, WA.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James. 

Mitch was a great father, teacher, and friend.  Although there may be a memorial at a later time, there are no funeral services planned.  Instead, honor Mitch by flying a rocket, eating something spicy, donating to a zoo, telling a joke, helping a friend, or doing any of the many things that made him an extraordinary man.
