Patricia Ann Hernandez

Patricia Ann Hernandez, age 65, of Albuquerque, NM passed away at her home on November 10, 2021. She was born in Clovis, NM on Cannon Air Force Base to William Hernandez Sr. and Bessie “Gauna” Hernandez. She is survived by her two Sons, Anthony Segura and John Segura of Albuquerque, NM, three Grandchildren, Dyllan Segura of Hudson, NC, Olivia Segura of Hudson, NC, Gabriel Segura Brandao, of Jacksonville, FL, Mother, Bessie Barnes of Albuquerque, NM, eleven Siblings with numerous Nieces and Nephews who loved her very much. She is preceded in death by her Husband Greg Segura, Brother, John Henry Gauna and Father, William Hernandez Sr.   

Patricia was an intelligent woman who had a love for learning with a business degree from Eastern New Mexico University and a Cosmetology License from Trend Barber College in Houston, Texas.  She was a member of the American Legion Post Thirteen in Albuquerque, NM and attended Catholic school in her childhood years with many fond memories of her friends there. She was fluent in English and Spanish and she enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life. 

Patricia also had a creative mind with a love for various arts which includes her hobby of painting ceramics, listening to music from the 80’s, dancing, attending concerts and especially enjoyed listening to a live Mariachi Band every chance she got. She was a flower child with an opportunity to attend the Monterey Pop Festival at age thirteen in California and her favorite fashion style was from the hippie era.

She was involved with a prayer ministry and was always faithful to request prayer for any need she knew of. She was a strong woman of faith with much empathy and care for others. She was also a thirteen year breast cancer survivor with a strong will to live. She was a brave woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

Funeral Services will be held at New Beginnings Church of God, 4770 Montgomery Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109, on December 4, 2021 at 2:00pm with reception afterwards.
