Valentino Romero III Obituary

Valentino "Val" Romero, 53, passed away on August 18, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born on May 4, 1972, in the same city he called home throughout his life, Val brought warmth and joy to those around him through his vibrant personality and deep love for the outdoors and the arts.

Val was a man of many talents and passions. He found joy in drawing and crocheting—creative outlets that reflected his thoughtful and caring nature. His love for music came alive when he played the drums and guitar, often filling spaces with rhythm and energy. Whether casting a line while fishing, hiking through scenic trails, or setting up camp under the stars, Val cherished every moment spent in nature. Cooking was another of his great joys; he delighted in preparing meals for others as an expression of love.

Above all else, Val's faith was central to his life. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ deeply and carried that devotion into his daily actions—always striving to be goofy yet loving, caring yet strong, thoughtful yet lighthearted.

Val leaves behind a large and loving family who will miss him dearly: his sons Joshua and Valentino Jr.; the mother of his children Belinda Alvarado and their son Angelo; his sister Doreen and her wife Bridgett Davis; his brother-in-law Bobby Okumoto; his nephews Bobby, Steven, Alfonso Jr., Izaiah and Elias; his niece Joelisa; great-nephew Isaiah; great-nieces Mariah, Priseis, Natalie, Aria, Kahlaya, Kahlani and Indigo; along with many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends whose lives were touched by his generous spirit.

He is reunited in peace with his parents Frances and Valentino Romero Sr., as well as his beloved little brother Alfonso Romero and son Jordan Alvarado.

Val's legacy lives on through the memories shared by those who knew him—memories filled with laughter around a campfire, melodies strummed on a guitar, sketches drawn with care, meals cooked from the heart, and moments of kindness that left lasting impressions.

May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.
